Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply when you, as a private consumer (“you,” “your,” “the Customer”), order paid add-on services on privat-økonomi.dk (“Personal Finance,” “we,” “us”). Personal Finance provides budgeting, accounts, and Spreadsheet tools free of charge to all users. These terms specifically cover the paid add-on services, including the AI Budget Advisor, and you accept them when you order such a service.

2. About Personal Finance and Its Scope of Application

Personal Finance is a free platform that gives individuals access to budgeting, accounts, and spreadsheet tools—with the goal of becoming a full-fledged accounting system for individuals (just as e-conomic and Dinero are for businesses).

These Terms of Service apply to the paid premium services we offer in addition to the free platform, including (but not limited to):

  • AI Budget Advisor: A chat-based AI service that helps you create a personalized budget based on the information you enter (e.g., housing situation, loans, fixed expenses, etc.).

We expect to expand our range of paid products on an ongoing basis. New paid services will be subject to these terms and conditions, unless otherwise clearly stated at the time of purchase.

3. Description of the Service

The AI Budget Advisor is a digital tool that uses a chat interface to ask questions about your finances (housing, loans, fixed expenses, etc.) and, based on your answers, generates a budget proposal.

Please note that:

  • The budget estimate is for guidance only and is based solely on the information you enter yourself.
  • This service is not individual financial advice and does not replace advice from a bank, accountant, or financial advisor.
  • You are responsible for verifying that the figures and assumptions included in the Budget are correct.

4. Ordering, Acceptance, and Delivery

The workflow for the AI Budget Advisor works as follows:

  1. You choose to create a Budget with the help of the AI assistant and answer the assistant’s questions about your finances.
  2. Once the AI assistant has the information it needs, you will be asked to accept these terms and conditions, including the terms regarding payment and the right of withdrawal in sections 5–7.
  3. As soon as you accept the terms, you’ll get immediate access to your Budget — before the payment is actually processed (see Section 5).

By accepting these terms, you expressly confirm that you wish to receive immediate delivery of the service, and you understand the consequences this has for your right of withdrawal, as described in Section 7.

5. Prices and Payment

  • All prices are listed in Danish kroner (DKK) and include VAT where applicable.
  • The price for the AI Budget Advisor is clearly stated before you accept the terms and conditions and gain access to the Budget.
  • Payment is not charged immediately. You’ll gain access to your Budget as soon as you accept the terms, and payment will be charged within 10 days thereafter via MobilePay or PayPal.
  • You’ll receive a notification (e.g., via email or within the platform) when the charge is processed so you can complete the payment.
  • We do not store your payment card or account information—the payment is securely processed by MobilePay/PayPal.

6. Non-payment

If you do not complete the payment within 5 days of receiving the invoice, we reserve the right to:

  • to block your access to the relevant Budget/paid service until payment is completed, and
  • to send you a reminder, including any legally required reminder fee in accordance with the Interest Act, and to charge late payment interest on the amount owed.

If payment is still not received, the matter may be referred to a collection agency. Access to the Budget will be restored as soon as we receive confirmation of payment.

7. Right of Withdrawal

Under the Consumer Contracts Act, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when purchasing digital content and digital services that are not delivered on a physical medium.

Important exception: Since you gain access to the AI Budget Advisor—and thus the provision of the service begins—immediately upon your acceptance of these terms—and therefore before payment is completed—we ask that, upon acceptance, you also provide your express consent to the following:

  1. Provision of the service begins immediately, and
  2. You thereby waive your right of withdrawal as soon as the service is provided (i.e., as soon as you have access to your Budget).

Without this consent, we cannot grant you immediate access to the Budget. If you have not given your consent, you have a 14-day right to cancel starting from the time of your order. If you wish to cancel in this case, please contact us at kontakt@privat-økonomi.dk.

8. Complaints and Defects

If the service does not function as described, or if there are defects in the delivered item, you may file a complaint with us at kontakt@privat-økonomi.dk no later than 24 months after delivery. We will then assess the matter and, where appropriate, rectify the error, offer a new delivery, or provide a proportional discount or refund in accordance with the provisions of the Danish Sale of Goods Act.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Personal Finance strives to ensure that the AI Budget Advisor provides accurate and useful budget proposals, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of the generated budgets, as the results depend on the information you provide.
  • We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on the Budget.
  • Our liability is, in all circumstances, limited to the amount you have paid for the specific service.
  • We are not liable for indirect losses, operating losses, or similar consequential damages.

10. Personal Data

When you use our services, we process personal information (such as your name, email address, and the financial information you enter in the chat) in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share your data with third parties unless it is necessary to provide the service (e.g., payment providers) or we are legally required to do so.

11. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, design, code, and AI models behind Personal Finance are the property of Personal Finance/Kå ApS or our licensors. You may not copy, resell, or distribute our services or the output from them for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

12. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

We may update these terms and conditions from time to time, for example, when we launch new paid services. The current version is available at privat-økonomi.dk. In the event of significant changes that affect existing agreements, we will notify you directly.

13. Right to Appeal

If you wish to file a complaint about your purchase, please contact us at kontakt@privat-økonomi.dk. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may file a complaint with:

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by Danish law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably or through Nævnenes Hus shall be settled by the Danish courts.
